Automatic Zipping
When your recipients download files from ZappFiles, everything is automatically packaged into a single ZIP file. No extra steps needed.
How it works
ZappFiles handles zipping directly in the browser using streaming technology. This means downloads start right away without waiting for the entire ZIP to be built first. Even large transfers with hundreds of files begin downloading within seconds.
Folder structures stay intact
If you uploaded files with a folder structure, that structure is maintained inside the ZIP. When your recipient extracts it, they get the same folder layout you originally uploaded. No need to reorganize anything after downloading.
ZIP file naming
The ZIP file is named after your upload title. For example, if your title is "Wedding Photos June", the download will be called "Wedding_Photos_June.zip". If you did not set a title, the file defaults to "zappfiles.zip".
Downloading individual files
Recipients do not have to download everything. On the download page, they can select specific files and download just those, or click on a single file to download it on its own. This is useful when they only need one or two files from a larger transfer.
Selecting files for download
The download page includes checkboxes next to each file. Recipients can select a subset of files and download only those as a ZIP. There is also a "select all" option for quickly grabbing everything.
