Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is the home screen you land on the moment you sign in. It pulls together the numbers that matter, the files you've sent, and the files people have sent to you, all on one page. There's nothing to switch on. It's there for every account, on every plan.
Where to find it
Sign in and the dashboard is the first thing you see. It sits next to the upload box on your homepage, so you can start a new transfer and keep an eye on everything else at the same time.
The at-a-glance dashboard is a desktop home view. On a phone or tablet, your full upload history and requests pages give you the same transfers and submissions with complete sorting, search, and detail.
The four stat tiles
Across the top of the dashboard are four tiles that summarise your account in a glance:
- Active transfers — how many of your transfers are still live and downloadable right now. Expired ones drop off automatically.
- Total downloads — every download added up across all of your transfers, so you can see how much your work is being picked up.
- Storage used — the space your live uploads and received submissions take up together, in gigabytes.
- Open requests — how many of your file requests are still accepting uploads.
Recent transfers
Below the tiles, the recent transfers list shows the files you've most recently sent. Each row gives you the title, the number of files, the total size, how many times it's been downloaded, and a badge counting down to expiry. The badge reads "Expired" once a transfer is past its window, "Last day" when there's a day or less left, or the number of days remaining.
A copy button on each row drops the share link straight onto your clipboard, and clicking a row opens that transfer's full detail page. Use "View all" to jump to your complete upload history.
File requests
Right alongside your sent transfers is your list of open file requests, so the files coming back to you live on the same screen as the files you've sent out. Each request shows how many people have submitted, how many files have arrived, and the total size collected so far.
As with transfers, a copy button grabs the request link, and the row links through to the request's detail page where you can download and manage every submission. If you haven't made any requests yet, this is a good place to create your first one.
Storage at a glance
The storage meter shows how much of your plan you've used against your total allowance. It counts both your live uploads and the files submitted to your requests, so the number reflects your real footprint. Expired transfers stop counting once they lapse.
| Plan | Storage |
|---|---|
| Free | 15 GB |
| Pro | 1,000 GB |
| Max | 2,000 GB |
When you're getting close to full, you can free up space by deleting old uploads or submissions, or move up a plan. There's more detail in Storage Limits.
Your custom domain
The last card is about your branded address. On Max it shows a preview of your download links on your own subdomain, like you.zappfiles.com, with a shortcut to set it up or manage it. On Free and Pro the same card invites you to upgrade to Max to unlock it. You can read more in Custom Domain.
Quick actions
The dashboard is built to get you to the next step in one click. The header has a shortcut to customize your download pages, every transfer and request row can copy its link or open its detail view, and the storage and domain cards link straight to managing your plan or your address.
