No AI Policy

Most file-sharing services bury their data policies in 40 pages of legalese and quietly reserve the right to do whatever they want with what you upload. We don't. Here's the short version, in plain English.

We don't train AI on your files

Not now, not later, not via some quiet policy update. Photos, video, designs, project folders, raw client work. None of it gets fed into a model. We don't scan, analyze, label, embed, or do anything else to it. The only thing we do with the bytes you upload is move them to your recipient.

We don't sell your data

Your account info and the metadata around your transfers (titles, file names, sizes, expiry settings, download counts) stay between you and us. We use it to operate the service and improve the product. We don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else looking to repackage and resell your behaviour.

When you delete, it's actually deleted

When a transfer expires, or when you delete one manually, the files are removed from storage. We don't keep shadow copies, backups of expired files, or derivatives like thumbnails or previews. Once it's gone, it's gone, including from any caches and edge nodes within a short window after the delete.

Why we're explicit about this

ZappFiles is built by and for people whose files matter. Photographers delivering shoots, designers handing over PSDs, video editors moving uncompressed cuts, agencies sharing campaigns before launch. The stuff you send is unpublished, often valuable, and nearly always someone else's property under contract.

We treat it that way. A “no AI” line in the marketing copy is easy to write. Actually meaning it shows up in everything we don't do behind the scenes. No third-party analytics on file contents, no model training, no deals with anyone who'd want to scrape your work.
