Upload Settings
Before you start your upload, you can adjust several settings to control how your transfer works. These options are found in the settings panel next to your file list.
Title
Give your upload a descriptive title. This title shows up on the download page and in your upload history, making it easy to find transfers later. The title is also used as the name for the downloaded ZIP file. If you leave it empty, the download defaults to "zappfiles.zip".
Expiry
Use the slider to set how many days your files stay available. The default is 7 days. The maximum depends on your plan:
- Without an account - up to 10 days
- Free plan - up to 14 days
- Pro plan - up to 60 days
- Max plan - up to 365 days
After the expiry date, your files are permanently removed and the download link stops working.
Server location
ZappFiles stores your files on servers in multiple regions around the world. By default, we automatically pick the server closest to you for the fastest speeds. On Pro and Max plans, you can manually choose between four regions:
- Eastern United States
- Western United States
- Europe
- Asia
Picking a server closer to your recipient can improve their download speed. It also lets you control where your data is physically stored.
Delete after download
Available on Pro and Max plans. When turned on, your files are automatically deleted after they have been downloaded. This is useful for sensitive files that should only be accessed once. After the first download, the transfer is removed and the link stops working.
Download page template
On Pro and Max plans, you can choose which download page template your recipients see. There are currently two templates available: a clean light design and a dark cinematic layout. Read more about this in the Download Page Templates guide.
